🔧 Main Components

1. Screw (Auger) – Left Side

• The long, helical shaft is a screw (auger).
• It has continuous spiral flights (threads) along its length.
• The tip appears specially machined, possibly for mixing, cutting, or material discharge.

2. Barrel – Right Side

• The cylindrical hollow tube is the barrel.
• It encloses the screw during operation.
• Both ends have flanges with bolt holes, used for mounting and alignment in a machine.

• The screw rotates inside the barrel.
• As it rotates, the helical threads:
  • Move material forward
  • Compress and mix material
  • Sometimes heat and melt material (in plastic or rubber processing)
• The cutaway section in the barrel shows the internal space where the screw operates.
