An air-cooled chiller is a type of refrigeration system designed to remove heat from a liquid (commonly water or a water-glycol mixture) and dissipate it into the surrounding air. Unlike water-cooled chillers, air-cooled chillers use fans and finned coil heat exchangers to transfer heat directly to the atmosphere, eliminating the need for a separate cooling tower.
